Assesses user needs in order to; write, edit and maintain technical documentation, job aids, installation instructions and technical instructions/ bulletins. Assist with various department projects assigned within product quality scope.

Major Responsibilities


Major Responsibility



Manage, with supervision, the complete documentation cycle for number of documentation projects. Organize content into a logical flow and tailors language to target audience; write and edit according to established standards.




Gather and assimilate information from a variety of sources & research content for new and revised documents.




Participate in and conducts team meeting and peer reviews; share information and experience with peers and provide input for policies and standards




Manage the flow of assigned tasks and tracks scope changes



Assist with project management on various projects assigned by PQ management team




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Technical certification preferred

Overall Experience

  • 5+  years’ experience performing writing, desk top publishing, editing and researching functions to prepare print or online technical documentation
  • Project management background a plus

Directly Related Experience

  • Related industry experience strongly preferred
  • A membership or affiliation with a professional organization for Technical Communication desired


MS Office

Excellent communication skills required (written and oral)

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

High level of automotive knowledge desired

Excellent attention to detail
