Summary

The Warranty Systems Manager is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the Kia warranty processing systems administered to dealers via KDealer+ and processed via AS400 warranty interface. This includes warranty claim processing, supervising subroutine programs and reporting to support timely & accurate warranty claims processing and payment to Kia dealers. 

This person is responsible for identifying system deficiencies, analyzing corrective countermeasures, documenting system corrections, tracking project completion and testing system corrections. This position will also supervise the Warranty Systems Analyst responsible for the analytical reporting of warranty transactions and reporting to government agencies (including TREAD) and KUS as needed. The scope of responsibilities includes collaboration with warranty helpdesk staff and monitoring system deficiencies and developing systems improvements that meet department objectives, Kia HQ system requests and governmental requirements for legal requests, EPA reporting and NHTSA TREAD reporting.  

The Warranty Systems Manager is also responsible for supporting the following systems used by corporate Warranty and regional field staff:  Warranty Intelligence Network (WIN) including the dealer assurance functions, Web LTS providing dealer labor times for reference & claim processing, WebDCS dealer-facing warranty functions, DPSM PWA System and the PAS System for post-claim submission processing.  

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 30%   

Develop system workflows and external design and assist HAEA programmers with the development and implementation of warranty computer systems’ complex claim processing logic that supports timely & accurate warranty claims processing and payment to Kia dealers, improve factory & vendor billing & recovery, support expense control measures, campaign and audit activities, as well as the identification & action planning to address key drivers of dealer requests to the KMA Warranty Help Desk.


2nd Priority - 30%

Responsible for identifying KDealer+ & AS400 system discrepancies and coordinating system corrections with HAEA. Includes testing all system corrections or enhancements as well as tracking and documenting all HAEA projects.  


3rd Priority - 20%

Manages support of Warranty Intelligence Network, WebLTS, PWA and PAS Systems, and MPR parts return system. Produces project tracking reports for all systems projects and maintains project status report.


4th Priority - 20%

Work with Data Analyst to development of warranty data analytics to identify opportunities for operational improvement including the management of timely and accurate quarterly NHTSA TREAD reporting of Kia warranty claims and other reporting or support activities/projects required to ensure Kia’s compliance with all federal and state warranty laws & legal discovery requests.  

Education/Certification

  • Bachelors degree required. 

Overall Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with an automotive distributor or manufacturer
  • Mainframe computer experience with service and parts systems including data and/or statistical analysis/reporting
  • Experience in project tracking, system design, testing & report design is required
  • Supervisory experience required

Directly Related Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in the warranty area (complex warranty claims processing) for an automotive distributor or manufacturer
  • Utilization of data mapping, modeling, analytical software & processes inclusive of implementation planning
  • Experience with AS400, SAP, MS Access and/or other equivalent database systems
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis

Skills

Must be proficient with AS400 Query Language, Microsoft Office products and data visualization/analytics platforms
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and independent critical thinking skills including statistical analysis
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills are required.
Well-organized, with ability to complete projects as assigned with limited supervison.

Pay Range

$79,596.00 - $106,543

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
