Vehicle Pricing Cost Analysis Administrator

Assumes ownership of pricing data and conducts variance analysis to generate the overall P&L effect report. Utilizing specialized knowledge of cost accounting, develops and applies appropriate cost analyses to drive product pricing targets and strategies, or to provide countermeasures to secure product’s target profitability. Actively engages in cost-related communications with relevant stakeholders from the new vehicle development to its market deployment.  Aggregates pricing & profitability data and integrates them into annual & long-range business plans. 

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 30%

1. Maintains pricing data, monitors product’s profitability, and conducts cost analyses (Both production & sales-related costs)
2. Generates a variance analysis report, managing sales data, order status, and inventories, etc.

2nd Priority - 30%

1. Analyzes FOB & MSRP changes coming from model year change and simulate the P&L effect on the company.    
2. Analyzes trim mix and cost structure and discuss/suggest a price to secure model’s target profitability

3rd Priority - 20%

1. Engages in new vehicle development and sets vehicle profitability targets for the new model deployment.   
2. Generates S.T and L.T model profitability reports.

4th Priority - 20%

1. Supports annual & long-range business plan generations providing insight from cost analysis.
2. Provides ad-hoc reports requested from HQ.

  • 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance or combination of education and equivalent experience 
  • MBA, MS in Finance or Accounting preferred 
Overall Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling cost analysis and/or financial planning  and analysis
Directly Related Experience
  • 3+ years working within Finance
  • 3 years in the automotive industry/ OEM environment preferred.
Good understanding of cost accounting concepts and financial accounting
Excellent analytical & organizational skills
Advanced PC skills: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
