Summary

Tax Administrator provides support to Income Tax Manager and Indirect Tax Manager in tax planning and on-going tax compliance. Tax Administrator will be responsible for preparing tax refund claims, compiling various schedules for tax returns, maintaining comprehensive tax records and financial data for tax audits, and responding to tax-related inquiries.

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 40%   

Prepare and file the state tax refund claims related to lemon law repurchase vehicles and supporting calculation and documentation.


2nd Priority - 30%

Collect and validate data and prepare tax returns, tax workpapers and schedules that support tax returns.

Maintain revenue allocation SAP database and run reports periodically for Income & Indirect Tax reporting purposes.

Process tax payments and proper record documentation.


3rd Priority - 15%

Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities. Handle requests Form 1099 recipients and notices from taxing authorities.

 

4th Priority - 10%

Prepare various indirect tax filings, including annual reports, business licenses/registrations, and distributor/representative licenses.

 

 

5th Priority - 5%

Participate in tax team planning and scheduling meetings.

Support special projects on an ad-hoc basis.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

Overall Experience

  • Understanding of general accounting and multi-state tax compliance

  • Experience in tax research

  • Experience in tracking and analyzing data using software.

  • Automotive industry experience preferred.

Directly Related Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in tax, finance, or accounting

Skills

Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience in ERP system (SAP) and AS400 highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail

Pay Range

$49,458.00 - $63.649.00 

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
