Summary
The purpose of this position is to support the TREAD & Field Operations Manager by assisting with timely collection of quarterly EWR TREAD reporting data from various KUS business units and provide a supporting role of being the communication channel between the Safety Office and other KUS business units for all field actions.
This position will have the role in utilizing the means and processes of proactively performing analysis of TREAD data to provide the TREAD & Field Operations Manager with early identification of potential outliers prior to NHTSA inquiries, maintaining and tracking reports submitted to NHTSA under Standing General Orders (SGO) to identify any updates to previously submitted reports to NHTSA, and processing reimbursement of campaign mailing expense from applicable factories.
Major Responsibilities
1st Priority - 40%
Responsible for tracking and sharing status (parts availability, completion of TSB, Warranty submission readiness, etc.) of upcoming field actions and provide communicative support to the field by responding to inquiries related to field actions or providing updates to the field on the status of field actions.
2nd Priority - 25%
Responsible for monitoring progress of collecting quarterly EWR TREAD reporting data KUS business units and for acting as the EWR/TREAD Administrator for the Legal Department by pulling all legal cases from ONIT and the CA database each quarter and present them to the Forensic Engineering and Investigations National Manager for his/her review of cases to determine eligibility for reporting under EWR/TREAD. Additional responsibility includes utilizing the means and processes of proactively performing analysis of TREAD data to provide the TREAD & Field Operations Manager with early identification of potential safety concern outliers prior to NHTSA inquiries. Create and draft responses for EWR/TREAD inquires by NHTSA for review by management. Coordinate with counsel on an annual basis to provide KUS business unit specific EWR training sessions and perform an annual review of the Safety Office SOP (entire EWR/TREAD section – Sales & Distribution, Warranty, CA, Field Reports, etc.)
3rd Priority - 20%
Responsible for maintaining, tracking, and reviewing all cases/reports submitted to NHTSA under Standing General Orders (SGO) in order to provide management with potential updates to NHTSA per the guidelines of SGO (e.g., 10-Day Update, Monthly 15th Update, etc.) Perform an annual review of the Safety Office SOP (SGO section)
4th Priority - 15%
Responsible for maintaining and tracking campaign mailing expense, timely and accurate preparation of required documentation and communication with factories on the reimbursable campaign mailing expenses.
Education/Certification
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience is required.
Overall Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience required in automotive industry such as Sales, Product Quality, Customer Service, Training Center, Technical Specialists, Parts, Warranty, etc.
Directly Related Experience
- Experienced with vehicle technical compliance issues (i.e., TREAD, Recall and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards)

- Schedule(s) may vary due to needs of the business including but not limited to working outside of normal business hours, travel, weekends and/or holidays.
