Translate vehicle connectivity capabilities into simple, intuitive and integrated digital experiences for customers. Understand business requirements and any technical limitations, conceptualize and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translate them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, user interface, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. Design the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.
1st Priority - 35%
- Design and develop concept sketches, mock-ups, prototypes, layouts and user interface components for web portal and mobile application that can be easily interpreted and implemented by development teams.
- Collaborate closely with product management team to develop personas, journey mapping, rapid prototyping, and enhancing the user experience.
- Develop designs to provide uniform user experience across different platforms including web portal, mobile app and wearables.
2nd Priority - 35%
- Understand the product and develop assets and collateral primarily for owners’ portal, and support the needs of other cross-functional team to achieve their department business goals.
- Develop and maintain marketing collaterals by proactively anticipating the needs of different cross functional teams and ensure information integrity on the connected car products.
3rd Priority - 20%
- Conduct testing of completed web, mobile applications and wearables to assess user experience.
4th Priority - 10%
- Develop and maintain configurable UI contents in tools like Adobe Experience Manager to provide faster turnaround for minor UI changes that could positively impact users.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 5+ years’ experience in crafting user experience and interface preferably in automotive space.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tools
- Familiarity with Sketch, InVision, and other prototyping tools
- Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) design
- Experience working with Product Managers, along with engineers, visual, and UI designers
- Demonstrates agility to look ahead, plan, and respond to changes
- Collaboration with other team members to achieve results they are responsible for
Position Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally
- May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays
- Perform other duties as assigned
