Summary
The Senior Sales Operations Manager will oversee the business development and strategic efforts of Kia’s Dealer network electrification and energy infrastructure readiness.
This position is the main point of contact for network EV- and mobility- related business, acting as an authoritative representative for Sales Operations as the role interacts with senior management and executives.
This role will lead Dealer EV and energy readiness relative to Kia’s progressive EV growth strategy, including Dealer EV certification, consultation, and onsite evaluation, and will be responsible for the research and analysis of the competitive mobility and energy landscape by understanding and communicating new business models, opportunities, and threats.
This position will be responsible for aligning with executive leadership on strategic initiatives across divisions and Regions. It will lead all related initiatives including charging and energy storage, vendor management, training, sustainability, future program compliance, as well as strategic partnerships planning and oversight.
The Senior Sales Operations Manager is also responsible for managing the multi-million dollar Tier-3 Regional Marketing Stimulation Funds (RMSF) program and initiatives and is the lead between the Regions, Finance, and Marketing.
This individual will work with all Regions to strategically align marketing spend to business priorities. His/her responsibilities are to oversee network alignment of RMSF utilization with sales targets, inventory, and incentives. This position will oversee program spending and ROI, as well as lead the approval process, budget allocation, programming, budget tracking, and payments.
This position is responsible for establishing all related KPI targets, as well as reporting and monitoring progress. He/she will also conduct needs-analysis research covering key areas of Dealer and Regional performance for Field Managers, supporting Regional and Dealership operations.
Major Responsibilities
Priority 1st - 20%
Oversee EV charging and energy infrastructure for Kia Dealer network
- Ensure all Kia Dealerships are well-prepared to sell electric vehicles and support the EV customer experience & Participate and oversee development of EV and energy infrastructure partnerships
- Manage vendor(s) to maintain and ensure chargers at dealerships remain operational
- Develop and rollout phased EV charging, energy, and sustainability infrastructure across the network, based on prescribed milestones
Priority 2nd - 20%
Consult and evaluate network EV readiness to promote EV sales
- Travel to Dealers and Markets to consult, inspect, and evaluate in the field
- Coordinate with EV Business Managers in the Regions & Identify areas of opportunity to grow EV business by Region and Market, recommend actions and priorities, oversee progress
- Understand and advise management on state and local EV incentive programs to support Field and Dealer operations & Analyze and provide feedback on all EV training initiatives
Priority 3rd - 25%
Oversee Regional Marketing Stimulation Funds
- Manage approximately $20Mil annual RMSF program & Provide direction to the Regions on priorities and programs
- Oversee budget utilization, spend efficiencies, and ROI & Ensure Regions operate within approved guidelines, providing ongoing coaching and direction
- Oversee the approval process, coordinating with Finance to ensure programs are executed in a timely manner & Track and audit budget monthly
Priority 4th - 20%
Program and vendor oversight
- Lead program direction and vendor oversight & Manage budgets, miscellaneous programs and projects as directed by management
Priority 5th - 15%
Promote Dealer and Regional operations
- Develop and lead initiatives & Lead activities in support of the Field as assigned
Education/Certification

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Overall Experience
-
7+ years’ experience in the automotive industry, with dealer contact experience preferred

3-5 years’ experience in field sales management and/or Regional marketing

1-2 years’ experience in project management and/or program development
Directly Related Experience
-
Must have thorough understanding of dealership sales operations & Regional marketing

Must have district, regional or corporate management OEM experience

Interest and/or experience in EV and mobility space

Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally

May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays
