The SG&A Accounting Manager is responsible for accurate and timely accounting management of all SG & A accounts and performs accounting decisions and analysis. Responsible for faster closing, achieving management competence, cost savings, improving control systems, improving data quality, and more time for value-added activities. Responsible for successful completion of YE audit and quarterly reviews, providing for a sound system of assurances on financial and accounting operations and successfully complying with operational policies and procedures within Kia Motors America, Inc.

Major Responsibilities

Priority 1st - 25%

  • Monthly Book Closing & Reconciliations

Priority 2nd  - 25%

  • Quarterly Closing,  Preparation on Reviews, & YE Audit in accordance with IFRS

Priority 3rd - 20%

  •  AR & Billing Control Management

Priority 4th - 15%

  • Enhance current process continuously through developing SOP covering the system and work procedures

Priority 5th - 15%

  • Prepare “ad hoc’ reports for management; perform special projects.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience required.


Overall Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience required
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience required

Directly Related Experience

  • 5 years of experience in preparing auto industry accounting related exposure


Accounting professional in all aspects of accounting, system reviews and financial reporting and analysis for corporations.
Excellent communication skills required (written and oral)
Extensively experienced with accounting ERP system such as SAP and JDE
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, & AS400 Query Reporting.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret and summarize data into meaningful information.
Strong team leader and facilitator, foster an atmosphere that encourages highly talented accounting professionals to balance high-level skills maximum production.
Strong understanding of IFRS

Pay Range

$101,100.00 - $141,600.00
