Sr. Pricing & Residual Value Strategy Manager

Develop, present and negotiate residual value strategies, concepts, proposals, and recommendations for Kia brand and all current and future products in coordination with KHQ,  Product Planning, Sales, Marketing, Finance departments to achieve residual value targets (HMG KPI) and support volume and mix targets to optimize competitiveness and profits while accounting for competitive market actions, trends and company capabilities.  Develop and present value analysis and reports to identify opportunities to optimize new vehicle value, pricing, profit, and market penetration.            

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 50%

Develop and present new model residual strategies optimizing price, content, mix and volumes to achieve residual targets.  Coordinate strategies and targets with KHQ.   Provide analysis and demonstrate new vehicles to ALG, etc. with the support of the Product Planners and HMG.   Analyze current and proposed pricing, content, trim, volume and incentive changes for residual impact and develop options to improve residuals. Be the primary contact for residual values for ALG, JD Power, KBB, and Black Book.

2nd Priority - 25%

Develop and present value strategies for current and future models.  Analyze product value and competitive trends and develop value concepts, strategies, and targets for future models and new features.  Manage value table negotiating with KHQ for biannual updates to integrate content research and ensuring proper accounting in the value database.  Supervise auditing of JATO to ensure accurate and consistent analysis for all models and to support historical analysis and trend reports.   

3rd Priority - 15%

Manage VIN based data feed to support accurate data to dealers and auctions to ensure that Kia pricing includes all content.  Coordinate data feed with IT and manage contracts with VIN providers to support long-term annual target of $500k revenue.

4th Priority - 10%
Manage pricing department staff and ensure all goals are met and status is reported in a timely manner.   


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Advanced degree preferred

Overall Experience

  • 8+ years experience in automotive, product planning, pricing, marketing, finance or related field

Pay Range

$101,100.00 - $141,600.00
