Status
Summary
The National & DMG Media Manager is responsible for managing media across Regional Dealer Marketing Group (DMG) efforts and National Advertising for Traditional and Digital Media. This position reports to KUS’s National Manager of Media in ensuring that KUS’s overall Media plan is executed effectively and on strategy.
The National & DMG Media Manager will work closely with KUS’s media agencies to ensure that KUS’s 42 Dealer Marketing Group media plans are developed and completed in accordance with the approved strategic direction and within Kia’s requirements & DMG guidelines.
Major Responsibilities
1st - Lead the planning and execution of KUS’s DMG media plans. Coordinate with Retail Team on DMG media plan developments and the integration across Tier 1 and Tier 2. Manage KUS’s regional media agency in DMG media plan development to achieve industry leading media campaigns. (40%)
2nd - Support KUS’s National Manager of Media in the planning, execution & integration of KMA’s Tier 1 traditional media including broadcast, print, & OOH. (25%)
3rd - Working with KUS’s Digital Media Manager, support integration of online media plans across T1 and T2. (15%)
4th - Manage external T2 media agency and relationship with KUS’s Manager of DMG Operations to ensure DMG media compliance and support the resolution of issues on behalf of KUS Media with Regional activities.(10%)
5th - Integrated media plans, metrics & KPI monitoring and reporting. (10%)
Education/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media or equivalent work experience required.
Overall Experience
- 10+ years overall marketing/media agency experience preferred.
- Knowledge of marketing channels, tactics, and reporting including: National Broadcast, Spot/Local Media, OOH, Print & Digital.
- Team leadership and management experience.
Directly Related Experience
- 6-8 years direct experience in media planning at National and local level required.
- Media focus / Tier 1 & Tier 2 / OEM and/or Agency experience.
- Digital media agency and automotive experience is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally.
- May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
