The Sales Operations Manager will be the main sales department contact liaison to marketing for tier II and will be a contact for the field for RMSF (Retail Marketing Sales Fund), EV sales and mobility initiatives.  This position will lead/coordinate communications to marketing and the field to plan and coordinate various initiatives. 

This position will focus on responsibilities to develop plans aligned with sales targets, inventory and incentive communications with tier II and tier III.  This advanced planning will help create timely creation of assets including tier II television ads, banner ads, direct mail template and POS materials. 

As the lead for RMSF, this individual will work with the Regions to strategically align RMSF spend to short and mid-term business priorities.  This position will be an expert in the RMSF parameters and will lead the internal approval process, budget allocation, programming of contests, budget tracking and payments. 

This role will manage the implementation, tracking and achievement of EV and mobility initiatives that the Regions execute with the Dealers.  This includes the ongoing EV certification process with chargers, special tools training and future compliance programs.  Additionally, this position will actively engage with corporate strategy, sales planning, product development, marketing, service, KU and others to ensure the Dealers have what is needed to achieve our aggressive EV growth plan. 

This position will also conduct needs analysis research covering key areas of dealer performance for field managers, supporting regional sales staff and retail/dealer employees.

1st Develop integrated plans across tier II and tier III marketing and incentive communications.  Collaborate with Regions and marketing to create digital assets, POS materials, Direct Mail materials and etc. that align with our sales and incentive plans. 25%
2nd Manage RMSF regional budget transactions and processes. Coordinate and validate the collection of data for varied sales related reports including RMF, dealer contact reporting system, sales information, etc. Develop monthly / quarterly reports to determine effectiveness of KMA operational initiatives and recommend appropriate solutions  25%
3rd Act as liaison be KUS departments to understand EV and mobility initiatives.  Use learning to develop field and dealer projects to grow this area of the business to achieve sales targets.  25%
4th Lead initiatives and monthly assignments in support of Field and/or Sales Operations as assigned.  10%
5th Manage budgets, meetings, miscellaneous programs, projects, and assignments as determined and requested by management.  15%


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required 

Overall Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in the automotive industry, with dealer contact experience preferred 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in field sales management and/or Regional marketing 

  • 1-2 years’ experience in project management and/or program development 

Directly Related Experience

  • Must have thorough understanding of dealership sales operations & Regional marketing 

  • Must have district, regional or corporate management OEM experience 

  • Interest and/or experience in EV and mobility space 

  • Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally  

  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays 

  • Perform other duties as assigned 


Strong project management and organizational skills
Accomplished PC skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced skills in Excel including; pivot tables, indexing and collating data from multiple data sources. Strong understanding of how to use large amounts of tabular data.

Maintain a valid driver’s license and responsible driving record.

Pay Range

$74,400.00 - $96,600.00
