Status
Summary
The Recruiter will be expected to own full cycle recruiting function from beginning to end for Kia America and Kia North America. This position will execute strategies to identify, qualify, and present candidates for specialized roles and be impactful in identifying extraordinary talent that will help shape Kia’s future.
The position reports to the Sr. HR Business Partner under the Talent Management Team within the Human Resources department. Recruiting will include, but is not limited to, sourcing, screening, interviewing and recommending primarily external candidates (internal candidates from time to time) for various level jobs, including entry level, experienced professional, technical, and management. This role will utilize the ATS to recruit for all corporate, technical, and field openings, approximately up to 25 positions. This position will be involved in supporting college recruiting and attend various career fairs (in person and/or virtual) as needed.
In addition, this position will be responsible for onboarding activities for all new hires including, but not limited to, new hire documents, background screening, new hire orientation, and I-9 verifications.
Major Responsibilities
1st Priority - 75%
Maintain day to day recruiting, submit recruiting reports, and support associated administrative duties involving the recruiting function. Includes sourcing/screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and making recommendations for job offers, initiating relocation plans, and assists with. Drafts and publicizes recruitment efforts in appropriate and relevant places that may include online sources such as LinkedIn, and educational and professional journals and publications. Develop and implement sourcing and recruitment strategies that support the Kia’s hiring needs. Generate a robust candidate pipeline by working with leaders to identify focused posting needs, managing postings and outreach, and screening candidates. Manage partnerships and participate in career fairs.
2nd Priority - 15%
Partner with Talent Management team in various recruiting strategies that involve internal candidates, diversity recruiting, university relations and updates to systems and processes.
3rd Priority - 10%
Process onboarding activities, occasional cross-boarding, and help lead all new hire orientations.
Education/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- HR certification preferred.
Overall Experience
- 5+ years recruiting experience required.
- In-house/corporate recruiting experience required.
- 2+ human resources or corporate experience required.
- ATS and/ or HRIS experience required.
Directly Related Experience
- 5+ years’ administrative work experience highly desired.
- Technical recruiting preferred (engineering, data analysis, technical product management)
- Recruiting experience in automotive industry preferred
- Experienced user of LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search strings, and cold calling techniques.
- Demonstrated track record with creative sourcing methods via networking.
Job Qualifications:
- May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays.

Pay Range
$55,800.00 - $72,600.00
Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
