Summary

Ensure KUS compliance with after sales government regulations of a vehicle distributor regarding recall communication activity and reporting requirements.   

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 40%  

Responsible for pulling data from AS400 to prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Reports for the NHTSA, EPA, ARB, and CARB in compliance with government requirements. Continuously review the current process of reporting for possible systematic improvements. 

2nd Priority - 20%

Create and provide various miscellaneous reports relating to vehicle and campaign data as requested by management.  Continuously monitor and report regularly the campaign completion status and trend so that management can determine the timing of campaign renotifications. 

3rd Priority - 20%

Review and maintain campaign mail files. Monitor trends in return mail data to identify patterns and potential areas of improvement.

4th Priority - 20%

Track, maintain, and provide the status of various communication materials (TSB, Pitstops, Campaigns, Letters, etc.), and parts availability status for each field action.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology and/or equivalent combination of education and/or automotive industry experience required.

Overall Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of automotive industry experience in positions such as Customer Service, Training Center, Technical Compliance, Parts & Warranty required.

Directly Related Experience

  • Experienced with vehicle technical compliance issues such as TREAD, Recall and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
  • Functional understanding of NHTSA, EPA, and CARB rules and regulations 
  • Basic knowledge of Recall Campaigns

  • Schedule(s) may vary due to needs of the business including but not limited to working outside of normal business hours, travel, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Skills

Automotive technical knowledge - body, chassis, power train, brakes, electrical, safety system.
Advanced PC skills in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills needed to prepare clear and concise reports.

Pay Range

$52,297 - $70,060

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
