Status
Summary
The Manager of Digital and Media will lead our media strategy, digital marketing, and social media efforts. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the Kia brand’s presence across all media channels in the U.S., driving innovation, and ensuring our strategies effectively engage and convert target audiences. The selected candidate will:
- Lead National (Tier 1) and Dealer Marketing Group (Tier 2) strategy and planning for media buying, implementation, management and tracking, ensuring media plans support brand health and sales objectives.
- Drive all media planning and development for vehicle launch and sustainment/always-on marketing campaigns across the Kia lineup.
- Oversee digital and social media (organic and paid) planning, strategy, execution and creative development to achieve industry leading media campaigns.
- Lead planning and measuring of media KPIs and ROI, generating actionable insights to improve media effectiveness and efficiency.
- Fulfill the important role of enabling Kia America, Inc. (KUS) to maximize effectiveness and efficiency in its marketing efforts and investments.
Major Responsibilities
1st Priority - 25%
Media Strategy and Planning: Lead media planning development from initial segment/product/customer analysis to product positioning, Media strategy and mix; includes coordination and communication w/ all agency partners. This role is responsible for considering the overall business perspective, ensuring decisions are not solely driven by individual campaigns.
2nd Priority - 25%
Digital Marketing and Social Media: Lead development and execution of KUS digital and social media strategies; oversee development and delivery of digital and social creative.
3rd Priority - 15%
Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrating collaboration, empathy and excellent communication skills, inspire and lead a team of KUS Marketing professionals and agency partners in delivering work that is efficient, effective and performative.
4th Priority - 25%
Measurement and Reporting: Partner with KUS and Kia North America (Kia NA) analytics team members and agency partners to deliver consistent, actionable reporting on media performance. Ensure KPIs and targets are clearly set prior to campaign deployment to enable thorough reporting and timely optimization recommendations. This role is responsible for analyzing consumer behavior based on overall marketing data and providing support to leaders in making data-driven decisions
5th Priority - 10%
Innovation and Change Management: Advocate for innovation in media strategies by exploring new channels, ad formats, and audience targeting capabilities.
Education/Certification
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Masters or equivalent work experience preferred.
Overall Related Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years client or agency side experience, with mix of relevant experience within media strategy/planning, digital marketing, social media and performance marketing
- Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a data-driven mindset, and the leadership skills to drive impactful campaigns that elevate our brand and engage our consumers.
Other Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally.
- May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Overall Experience
- Minimum 10+ years client or agency side experience, with mix of relevant experience within media strategy/planning, digital marketing, social media and performance marketing
- Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience

Directly Related Experience
- Comprehensive understanding of various media channels including broadcast, streaming, digital, social, print, radio and OOH
- Strong ability to interpret data, analyze campaign performance and draw actionable insights to optimize media strategies
- Strong working knowledge of Digital, Mobile and Social Media advertising mechanisms and processes.
- Proven track record of leading large omnichannel media campaigns and driving measurable results
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and inspire multiple agency teams
- Budget management experience

Pay Range
$135,501 - $195,490
Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
