Summary

Support Marketing & Corporate Communications in ensuring the highest level of accuracy and timeliness of its budget. This position is integral in supporting the Marketing Division on daily operations & analysis as well as monthly maintenance & reporting.

Monthly Budget Tracking & Key Account Analysis - Track and report on all Marketing Department budgets - maintain YTD monthly Budget Summary and Budget Revisions Summary 2. Track and report on committed and uncommitted budgets 3. Monthly communication with budget owners on detail account activity. 4. Monthly EVB [Earned v. Billed liability] report is validated and reconciled with Finance and reviewed with Mgr. 5. Monthly Prepaid T&Rs are reconciled to actual and reviewed with Mgr. for approval and distributed as appropriate.

Review and Process Agency Invoices 1. Review and process media and production invoices from Kia’s primary agencies of record. 2. Ensure accuracy, support and necessary approvals (ex. completed reviews with cost consultants on production invoices); 3. Work with Team members and production cost consultants as appropriate to resolve invoices that cannot be processed; 4. Create & distribute the DMG assessment/earned monthly report & track DMG media purchase orders and payments against the DMG EVB [Earned v. Billed liability] report.

Month-end Expenses and Income items are processed and accurate - 1. Coordinate and process monthly agency DMG media and production accruals, including maintaining monthly timelines; 2. Work with Finance on an annual basis to ensure billings meet current system and tax rules. 3. Support the Mktg Plans & Analysis Mgr in review of the monthly A/R media aging from Media and Production agencies.

Annual Budget Maintenance, Support, and documentation - 1. Validate monthly SAP Budget changes and resolve discrepancies. 2. Process and maintain budget transfer requests, and Monthly Budget Revision Summary. 3. Maintain budget documentation files for Executive Management (Budget Binders, budget transfer forms, budget change control log);

Support Marketing Plans & Analysis Manager in preparing the annual budget, addressing any budget related issue & SAP issues. Support KMA Department Managers and budget-related issues - Work with Finance and systems development & operations on communicating and reviewing issues

Education/Certification

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required

Overall Experience

  • 3-5 years experience with budget planning, tracking, analysis and reporting;
  • Strong understanding and experience with budget and accounting systems, accruals, the accounts payable process and account analysis  

Directly Related Experience

  • Marketing budgeting, accounting and analysis experience
  • Strong understanding of budget/financial systems and processes
  • Automotive OEM experience a plus

Skills

Excellent communication skills required (written and oral)
