Summary

Act as business operations lead between all departments of Marketing and PR. The key responsibility is to oversee and maintain marketing performance metrics across all channels, act as project management liaison between the various Kia Motors America, Inc. (KMA) Marketing teams (Ad/Media, Brand Experience, PR/Events) with regards to brand objectives, lead development of brand & new vehicle launch marketing research, strategy and positioning, lead process and task management for all KMA vendor/ partner briefings for launch and on-going marketing campaigns, and act as KMA Marketing’s primary liaison for Kia Motors North America (KMNA) HQ communications. 

 

In addition, this role is responsible for the development of guiding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) principles that are aligned with the corporate philosophy and values of Kia Motors, as well as establishing CSR objectives with a clear timeline for achievement by the organization. This role will assess, plan and implement action items to improve CSR with the organization, establish a more responsible corporate culture, and work towards positioning KMA among the leaders in the automotive industry, in the area of CSR initiatives.

  • Manage marketing plans and department budgets. Create and manage vehicle allocation and use process.  Assist in development of annual, near term, and long-term business and marketing plans to achieve objectives.

2nd Product launch marketing positioning and research:
  • Work with various teams on launch plans, timelines and manage marketing task lists. Develop strategy and campaign efforts for vehicle launch process and present positioning direction planning for each product.

3rd Performance & Analytics Management:
  • Manage and report on all marketing and PR channels effectiveness and how brand and products communication and experience score and in keep on trend with industry.

4th Corporate Social Responsibility:
  • Develop CSR initiatives and programs that are aligned with Kia Motors’ CSR guidelines and goals, with clear metrics to monitor achievement.  Partner with HR and other departments to enhance CSR within the workforce and improve areas within team member culture survey associated with CSR.  Champion and monitor progress on action plans towards continuous culture improvement.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; 
  • Master’s degree desirable

Overall Experience

  • 10-15 years of experience in corporate marketing or agency experience required. 
  • 8+ years minimum overall work experience with a large corporation involved in making decisions that impact the business, change management, etc.
  • 3+ years’ experience of negotiating and implementing new policies/initiatives with a range of stakeholders

Directly Related Experience

  • Prior vehicle launch planning/execution experience required.
  • Relevant experiences in the area of CSR


Other Requirements:

  • Travel will be required domestically and/or internationally.
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
