Summary

Responsible for leading the learning, culture, and internal brand transformation for Kia North America companies as a trusted expert. Drive innovation and change to create Kia workplaces and programs where team members feel inspired, empowered, and connected to the company’s mission of creating “Movement that inspires”. 

Oversee and manage learning and development programs from a companywide perspective, employee engagement programs, culture-driving communications, and support strategic change management initiatives related to technology, ways of working, flexibility, talent management, operations, and inclusion and diversity. 

This position will be responsible for bringing expertise and proven experience to push our thinking, share fresh, innovative ideas and elevate the quality of programming we deliver for our team members. This position will be responsible for solutions that drive faster adoption of change, and support enterprise-wide initiatives acting as a strategic thinker, leader, and practical advisor.
 

Major Responsibilities

1st

Learning & Development 
Design, lead, and implement strategic learning and development programs including; new team member onboarding, performance, leadership development, compliance, e-Learning, and Kia HQ/Hyundai Motor Group programs. Manage related vendor partnerships and administrative support functions. (40%)

 

2nd

Culture & Team Member Engagement 
Create, manage, and champion team member engagement programs, culture surveys/team member feedback, and culture-driving communications and information. (30%)

 

3rd

Change Management & Workplace Transformation 
Build change management strategy and action plan.  Implement and oversee all aspects of the change management strategy. Lead workplace transformation initiatives designed to influence Kia culture.  As a member of the HR team develop cross functional partnerships to reach all areas of the company. (30%)

Education/Certification

  • BA /BS HR Development, Business, Adult Learning, Organizational Development or other applicable field of study 
  • Master’s degree desirable
  • Training certifications a plus
     

Overall Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant hands-on experience in talent development, learning, or organizational development within a large organization
  • 5+ years of experience within a large organization leading the development and execution of a comprehensive employee engagement and employee retention strategy where quantifiable improvements were achieved
  • Strong background in company-wide program development, experience in instructional design and course/program facilitation desired
  • Experience with the performance management best practices

  • In-person work is performed at the Kia North American Irvine campus
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage the audience. Course facilitation skills desired.
Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated success building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
Exercises good judgment and maintains strict confidentiality.
Must possess compliance training knowledge to ensure Kia is compliant with state and federal laws.
Proven ability to innovate to meet the needs of the business and to advance culture.
Strong business acumen, decision making, and organizational skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay Range

$86,700.00 - $116,900.00
