Status
Summary
Provide broad strategic and tactical Human Resources consulting, including through the use of all HR systems, to leaders and team members for the assigned client group(s) to develop, advise and implement proactive people strategies and agendas that support the Company’s goals and Core Values, while also ensuring Human Resources compliance. Collaborate/partner with the KMA HR Operations team to identify leadership, management, and team member HR related needs, and help to implement strategies to support those needs across the organization. In addition, through an understanding of the local culture and environment, successfully lead the implementation of various KMA HR programs – including but not limited to performance management, succession planning, talent development, employee advocacy programs and processes, employee relations matters, and recruitment for designated business units and positions. Support the learning, development and engagement HR team in partnering with business units on execution and compliance with learning, development and engagement programs.
Major Responsibilities
1st Priority - 20%
Partner and support local leadership and operational management on key departmental initiatives, goals, and objectives.
2nd Priority - 25%
Recruit for assigned business client groups. Work with staffing vendors on annual postings; manage current ATS and work with developers to update the system as business needs require. Continually review KMA’s recruiting initiatives to identify efficiencies to reduce costs and improve leadership team fill rates and quality of candidates. Develop new programs as required to maintain KMA as an employer of choice and enhance the employment brand.
3rd Priority - 25%
Manage employee relations issues, and conduct employee investigations working closely with management, legal and HR leadership.
4th Priority - 25%
Helps to lead, communicates and manage the roll-out and implementation of all HR programs, initiatives, policies, protocols and tools including but not limited to change management, compliance, performance management, learning and development.
5th Priority - 5%
Proactively identifies opportunities to improve team, functional and departmental effectiveness.
Education/Certification
- B.S. or B.A in HR, business or related field or equivalent experience
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
Overall Experience
- Excellent partnering (relationship building) and consultative skills
- Expert communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities
- Effective interpersonally to be able to influence others and collaborate across multiple levels of leadership
- Team player with ability to work with various stakeholders & levels of employees/executives
- Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
- High degree of personal accountability and ownership
Directly Related Experience
- 8+ years of experience in HR with 5-7 years in a generalist or business partner/consulting role
