Summary

Kia North America’s new business team is looking for an experienced EV strategic planning manager to assist in creating the strategic direction to develop the new market opportunities with a new EV product line (along with accompanying service solutions).     

The manager will be responsible for collaborating across multiple departments to research trends, analyze data, and develop strategies across Kia North America (U.S., Mexico, and Canada). 

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 40%
Planning the new business model leading the EV trend

  • Develop the profit structure with a new business model 
  • Business feasibility check and implementation of new ideas (E.g EV subscription, UBI, Grid Charing and so on)
  • Analyze the competition and investment trend in EV market    

2nd Priority - 20%
Establishing the EV mobility business eco-system  

  • Conduct financial analysis for the competitors and start-ups 
  • Create new idea-based partnerships
  • Discover the business opportunities and implement the PoC
  • Business feasibility check and implementation of new ideas

3rd Priority - 40%

Managing the mid-to-long term EV strategy 

  • Structure an integrated strategy to implement Plan S  
  • Establish the US/Canadian/Mexico strategic framework
  • Propose the Long-range EV strategy based on volume
  • Correspond the government regulatory (e.g., TNC, IRA)
     

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience required.  
  • MBA preferred
     

Overall Experience

  • 10+ years of overall industry experience, with start-up experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of project management or high-level management experience 
  • 3-5 years of experience with light duty commercial vehicles, either in consulting, strategy, or business development
     

Directly Related Experience

  • Strong business analysis skills and experience 
  • Experience with EV research or consulting in the industry 
  • Experience from the OEM’s   planning or strategy division 

 

Position Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally 
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays
     

Skills

Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality on all matters with the Executive Office.
Ability to multi-task, manage through competing demands, prioritize, and work with other team members at all levels within the company.
Advanced knowledge of project planning and management.
Excellent communication skills required (written and oral)
Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Pay Range

$95,200.00 - $128,500.00
