Summary

This position is responsible for the accurate review and authorization of dealer warranty claims to ensure compliance with KMA Service Policy & Procedure and/or as directed by management.  This position directly provides dealer support and direction to dealers with warranty repairs that impact Kia customers in addition to alerting management of any issues with KMA Service policy that can negatively impact dealers or customers. 
 

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 70%

Timely & accurate dealer warranty claims review/adjustment in accordance with KUS Service Policy & Procedures, Warranty Claims Manual process and procedures and general service operations procedures. Support dealer training activities and Dealer Labor Rate/Parts Mark up requests.  

2nd Priority - 20%

Analysis & Reporting – Development of warranty data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement of warranty claim submission processes, recovery, reduction of excessive or unnecessary warranty expense and other necessary reporting to management on a regular basis and/or as directed by management. 

Use data analytics as the basis for business change, presenting evidence-based recommendations for improvements 

3rd Priority - 10%

Support KUS payment recovery activities (KUS Submission and re submission) and analyze claim returns and unrecovered expenses for resubmission.  

Education/Certification

  • A BS Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience. Masters encouraged.

Overall Experience

  • A basic knowledge of automotive systems, component operation and repair is highly desired
  • Data analytics background – Power BI or equivalent.  
  • Dealership fixed operations knowledge of warranty processing and guidelines
     

Directly Related Experience

  • Two years of warranty/ service department support in an automotive manufacturer/distributor environment preferred
  • Ability to analyze and report on claim data to identify trends and areas for improvement.  
  • Versed in tracking of OEM warranty data, report generation, accrual estimates and use of Continuous improvement process tools.  
  • Data Analytics experience. 

Other Requirements:

  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays
  • Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

Warranty and CRM systems software knowledge (WebDCS, AS400, Siebel, KGIS, EPC, WIN)
MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Sharepoint is a plus
Experience using publication software (Adobe products) preferred
High level organizational, planning and analytical skills
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range

$59,725.00 - $79,996

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
