Sr. Advertising & Production Manager

Manages multiple high-visibility advertising & marketing projects including product brochures, showroom point-of-sale materials, Ad Planner and dealer running footage.  Supports production of broadcast, print and out-of-home creative, ensuring legal reviews and financial approvals are secure, and vehicles are reserved/shipped per job specifications.  Manages national advertising production budgets.   

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 30%

Manages production of dealer running footage for all models, including developing project bid specifications, managing advertising agency and cost consultant in pre-bid and bid activities.  Provides creative input (preferred angles, locations, talent, etc.) and provides recommendations to Kia marketing. Represents Kia at all running footage pre-production meetings and at shoots. Supports national advertising broadcast production activities, including actively participating in development of project bid specifications, attending and actively participating in Kia creative strategy sessions. Provides input on production details (shooting boards, product angles, etc.); ensures all internal reviews and approvals are secure in accordance with company and department policies, including product planning and legal reviews, and financial approvals.  Works closely with multiple departments, agency partners and vendors.  Ensures all project requirements are addressed. 

2nd Priority - 20%

Manages all activities related to creative development, production and inventory of individual new vehicles and full-line product brochures and showroom point-of-sale materials. Based on product changes, determines scope of materials needed for each vehicle, manages design, layout and copy process, facilitates product planning, Regional Strategy Management and legal reviews, secure financial approvals. Works closely with multiple departments, agency partners and vendors.

3rd Priority - 20%

Manages all advertising budgets.  Has a strong grasp of the data that populates the budget tracker.  Confirms the accuracy of the budget tracker, budget status, and submits tracker by the required deadline.  Provides explanations of the budget variances during the monthly variance meetings.

4th Priority - 15%

Supports production of all national print and out-of-home creative.  Provides input and recommendations on initial concepts and designs.  Facilitates product planning and legal reviews, secure financial approvals (including managing production budgets).  Manages the process of securing vehicles for advertising needs as needed and ensures product correctness.  Works closely with multiple departments, agency partners and vendors. 

5th Priority - 10%

Manages broadcast sponsorships including providing direction, input and approvals on required creative elements, securing vehicles and facilitating execution of 3rd party contracts/agreements.  Attends and supervises production shoots to ensure all project requirements are addressed.

6th Priority - 10%

Manages, including development and maintenance of new content for the site used primarily by Kia dealers for Tier 3 materials.  Works with Ad Planner agency to perform site updates and periodic site redesigns to ensure optimal user experience. 


  • Must have BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience.

Overall Experience

  • Minimum 10 years marketing experience including advertising production either on client or agency side. 

Directly Related Experience

  • Minimum 7 years auto industry experience or equivalent advertising agency experience working on car account.  


Independent worker with strong analytic skills including advanced Microsoft Office
Advanced knowledge of standard PC software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize projects.
Strong budget planning & management skills
