Summary

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Product Planning this role develops short and long-range product strategies, vehicle packaging and specific product recommendations and color and trim recommendations for five product lines (Niro, Stinger, Project CV, MV and MPV). Position is fundamental in the development of Kia U.S. sales growth and regulatory compliance, through products that meet the needs of Kia dealers and buyers. This position will focus on performance sedans as well as BEV/PHEV and HEV alternative fuel and charging technologies.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Post Graduate Degree preferred.

Overall Experience

  • 7-10 years’ experience in automotive product planning, marketing research, engineering or related field required.
  • 3+ years managing specific area
  • Experience with electric vehicle, alternative fuel and /or charging technologies highly desired.

Directly Related Experience

  • Automotive enthusiast with industry, consumer, and technical knowledge and abilities. 
  • Extensive experience in development of presentation papers.
  • Direct experience with BEV and EV and related charging technologies and regulatory matters is highly preferred.

Skills

Excellent communication skills required (written and oral)

PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

Project management experience; ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to quickly adapt to various systems and processes

Ability to build consensus with business clients in a calm and professional demeanor
