The HR Operations Specialist applies knowledge of HRIS concepts, practices and procedures under supervision of section manager.  This role will participate in the HR Operations program and systems administration, partner with internal and external IT resources to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements.  This position is responsible for preparing, scheduling and reviewing various reports related to tactical day-to-day responsibilities as assigned by the Sr. Compensation & Benefits Manager.

Major Responsibilities

Priority 1st - 50%


Support HR Operations through oversight of HRIS operation and maintenance. 

Correct identified data discrepancies, review configuration and validate workflows to identify opportunities for operational efficiency.

Update HRIS system to support department reorganizations through the creation and maintenance of foundational objects.

Create, monitor and/or process all reorganization system related entries to ensure proper headcount and organization reporting

Coordination with Finance and Payroll to ensure adherence to business requirements and established workflows

Priority 2nd  - 25%

Operational Support:

Point of contact for internal and external IT partners to capture and coordinate system issues and updates

Review and validate file interfaces with payroll, compensation, recruiting, goal & performance management and benefit systems/modules


Create ad-hoc reports as needed or requested in support of HR Operations functions

Train the Talent Management group to develop reports to support their client group partnership and strategic initiatives

Priority 3rd - 25%



Consolidate and prepare the annual HR department budget for submission to Finance

Monitor and track monthly HR department spend

Create and track PR/PO’s

Complete other budget duties as assigned

Attend Quarterly Forecast meetings


Support Talent Management team in the weekly invoice processing and tracking

Temp Staffing

Partner with Talent Management team for contract and temporary employee entry in HRIS, tracking and budget support

  • Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, HR, business or related field) or equivalent work experience required.
  • HRIS Certification desired
Overall Experience
  • 5-7 years of overall work experience required.
  • Majority of experience in HR corporate operations environment, project management or high level administrative role highly desired.
  • Experience working with confidential information and critical business processed required
  • Prior department budget handling experience required.
  • Cloud-based HRIS experience highly preferred
  • Project management experience preferred.
